Samsung is possibly readying a major upgrade to its foldables line-up in 2027. Latest rumors claim that it's getting ready to launch as many as six different Galaxy Z models in 2027. It would be an aggressive move to come out with that many different models each year for the top end of its foldables phone line-up. This is something to keep an eye out for if you're excited about the next-gen foldables.

Samsung reportedly plans six foldable models for 2027, including the sliding Z Slide and Z Fold 9 Pro
Rumored 2027 Samsung foldables line-up would include Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra. These are in addition to the regular Galaxy Z Fold 9 and Galaxy Z Flip 9. Also, we could see a new Galaxy Z Slide joining the foldables.
It's claimed to use a sliding mechanism that extends the screen size instead of a hinge. This would give us an entirely new physical experience to other foldables.
Another new foldable that's likely coming in 2027 is Galaxy Z TriFold 2. This could be the first Galaxy Z device that Samsung launches in 2027. Overall, Samsung will be targeting improvements in battery life, slimmer form factor, and lighter weight across all the new foldables. The idea is to address common user complaints about the size and battery life of current foldables.
In our previous Samsung coverage, Samsung Plans Five New Galaxy Z models, we had talked about Samsung's 2027 foldables plans. This latest tip hints at an even bigger 6-device line-up in the works. Apart from regular Galaxy Z Fold 9, the company will also have Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra.
In other words, we'll get a tiered line-up. This is very much in line with how Samsung has been coming out with multiple variants in a single product cycle.
