Arc Raiders cheats face permanent bans as Embark Studios tightens anti- cheat rules ahead of the October 8 update, removing previous leniency.

Embark Studios is tightening the rules for Arc Raiders to protect the integrity of the upcoming October 8 update. Players who rely on cheating software will face immediate and permanent consequences starting with this patch. The studio has removed the previous lenient approach that allowed active cheaters a second chance to remain in the game.

The developer now deploys in-house AI models alongside kernel-level protection from Denuvo and AnyBrain to detect unauthorized modifications. These technical layers work together to identify suspicious behavior before it disrupts the competitive environment. The system flags known cheat programs and triggers automatic enforcement actions without manual review.

Accounts caught using these tools receive permanent bans instantly, and the studio has eliminated the prior second-chance policy. Game licenses tied to sanctioned accounts cannot be transferred to other players to prevent family sharing exploits. Any account linked to a banned game copy also receives a permanent ban to close loopholes.

Embark is currently building an expanded hardware ban system to increase the number of bannable devices, which should launch later this year. The studio is also testing a new in-house anti-cheat solution called Elytra in The Finals, though no release date for Arc Raiders exists yet. This follows the themes we saw in the last Arc Raiders update regarding stability and balance.
