Valve has expanded the list of games that run smoothly on the Steam Deck handheld console. This update matters because it gives players immediate access to more titles without needing to tweak settings or hunt for fixes. We can now see which games meet the company's strict compatibility standards for the upcoming week.

Nine new games gain Verified or Playable status on the handheld
The latest changes include several new entries on the Verified and Playable lists. Verified titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax run with full controller support and optimized performance. Other games, such as Kristala and SiN Reloaded, received Playable status despite some interface limitations that require manual adjustment.
The update covers a diverse range of genres and release dates. Fatekeeper moved from Unsupported to Playable, making it accessible to a wider audience. Trivia Murder Party 3 and The Transference also earned Verified status, ensuring they work out of the box. These additions bring the total count of supported titles higher for users who rely on the device for portable gaming.
Several of these newly compatible games are currently on sale. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Split/Second are discounted until October 8. Players can pick up these titles for as low as $5.99 or $7.99 during this period. The sale ends just before the October 8 release of Echo Weaver, which has also received Verified status ahead of its launch.
This update follows the pattern of previous compatibility rounds that focused on stability and balance. When we covered the last Steam Deck update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. Valve continues to refine the experience by adding titles that meet specific technical criteria rather than just listing every compatible game.
