Sony is adding a new Sandstone color to its WH-1000XM6 headphone lineup. The new variant will be available globally starting May 19, 2026.
New Sandstone finish arrives globally
The Sandstone finish is described as closer to the Platinum Silver or Silver versions of the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM3 than Sony's current Platinum Silver release. The headphones retain the same features as other WH-1000XM6 models.
The Sandstone WH-1000XM6 carries an MSRP of 459 USD (about $459), matching the price of other color options.
The new color option gives buyers another choice alongside existing WH-1000XM6 variants. The Walkman Blog reported the upcoming release.
Sony has not confirmed whether additional colors will follow.
