Sony has announced the WH-1000X The ColleXion, a special edition headphone marking the 10th anniversary of the 1000X series. The new model uses premium materials including synthetic leather and stainless steel accents.
Premium materials and new processors
The headphones feature a new V3 processor and the QN3 chip for adaptive noise cancellation. A 12-microphone setup supports the ANC system. Sony uses 30mm drivers with a soft-edge design, which the company says improves bass response and overall sound depth. A thicker copper substrate on the circuit board is claimed to enhance detail and soundstage performance.

The WH-1000X The ColleXion is priced at 649 USD (about $649).
Battery life reaches up to 24 hours with ANC enabled and 32 hours without it. The anniversary model builds on the legacy of the original MDR-1000X and the WH-1000XM6 lineage, offering a premium alternative in Sony's headphone lineup.

Sony has not confirmed availability details for the WH-1000X The ColleXion.
