Control Resonant will reach players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 24, 2026, but physical disc copies arrive later. This split schedule matters because collectors and disc-only console owners must wait an additional month for the tangible product. Digital buyers get immediate access while Remedy Entertainment finalizes the physical manufacturing process.
Digital buyers get immediate access while Remedy finalizes manufacturing
Remedy Entertainment developed the title, which is already Gold and ready to ship. The studio decided to delay the physical release to ensure the best possible quality before manufacturing. This approach prioritizes product condition over the standard simultaneous launch window.
The digital release date is set for September 24, 2026, across all three platforms. The physical disc release is scheduled for October 15, 2026. This creates a 21-day gap between the two distribution methods.
Art Director Elmeri Raitanen explained the reasoning behind the delay. He stated that technical testing and logistics required extra time to ensure the game is in the best possible shape. The studio handled the business timelines to accommodate this quality assurance period.
