LEVEL-5 has revealed its next major title, Holy Horror Mansion, a game that blends exploration with unique spirit-befriending mechanics. The game will arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2027.

The core gameplay revolves around using a camera to capture objects and transform them into 'Mononoke,' ghostly creatures that join your party. According to LEVEL-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, almost everything in the environment can be interacted with in this way. Players can soften objects to use them as trampolines or even turn them into explorable dungeons.
Battles in Holy Horror Mansion feature dance music and card-based commands for your Mononoke allies. The studio is also planning a cross-media merchandise line, though this has been delayed from an early 2026 target. A playable demo will be available at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 to 21.
Previous LEVEL-5 announcements have been tracked to monitor their development pipeline. The exact release date within 2027 remains unconfirmed, but the platform list is clear. The game will launch globally on PS5, Switch, and PC.
Holy Horror Mansion features interactive design where the environment serves as a source of allies and hazards. The game, scheduled for release in 2027, combines puzzle-solving with turn-based combat mechanics.
