Pearl Abyss shipped hotfix 2.00.02 for Crimson Desert on September 1, addressing stability issues that disrupt gameplay. The update targets specific control glitches and visual bugs that affect player immersion in the open-world RPG. Users on all platforms can now apply these changes to resolve recent friction points.

Patch resolves unresponsive crane controls and forced dismount bugs

This patch corresponds to update version 1.000.493 and delivers a focused set of fixes. The developer corrected unresponsive controls for the small crane at Karin Quarry, a mechanic that previously stalled progress. The team also resolved a collision bug that forced players to dismount when riding past wandering merchants.

Visual and audio adjustments form the core of this release. The studio partially improved lip-sync accuracy for characters in certain cutscenes to better match dialogue. Players using GTX 1060 GPUs should be aware that enabling Upscaling and causes the screen to appear white. This configuration remains incompatible with that specific hardware.

Several known issues persist across different platforms and settings. Users who changed voice language settings before update 2.00.00 may find Spanish missing from the options after this patch. Xbox players face a bug where downloading an additional language pack deletes the previously downloaded one. Mac users with M5 chips might see incorrect lighting effects in some scenes. We looked at the last Crimson Desert update earlier while tracking stability trends.

The hotfix resolves specific mechanical and visual defects without introducing new features. Players can install the update immediately to fix crane controls and merchant collision issues. The remaining known bugs require future patches to fully resolve.
