DJI has updated its Osmo 360 II with native 8K video recording at 60 frames per second. This jump in resolution lets creators capture significantly more detail for immersive content. This improvement is significant because higher frame rates at 8K resolution maintain image clarity during post-production stabilization or cropping.

The DJI Osmo 360 II features a 1-inch panoramic sensor.

The 360 camera adds high-resolution video and improved sensor efficiency

The camera relies on a 1-inch panoramic sensor to handle this data load. DJI states that sensor utilization improved by 25 percent compared to conventional 1-inch sensors. The enhanced efficiency allows the camera to better control thermal output and power consumption during high-bitrate video recording.

Specifications

  • Video Resolution: Native 8K at 60fps
  • Sensor: 1-inch panoramic
  • Photo Resolution: 120-megapixel HDR
  • Storage: 105GB built-in
  • Battery: 2,150mAh cold-resistant

Technical specifications include a 14.5-stop dynamic range and an f/1.9 aperture. The lens supports AI Super Night Scene 2.0 for low-light performance. Users get 105GB of built-in storage and a 120-megapixel HDR photo capability for stills.

Power comes from a 2,150mAh cold-resistant battery that weighs 183 grams for the camera body. DJI claims the device can record 8K/30fps footage continuously for up to 100 minutes. The battery charges to 80 percent in about 22 minutes. The unit is waterproof to 10 meters without a case and 50 meters with an optional waterproof shell.

Pricing starts at 3,299 YUAN (around $488) CNY (around $488) for the base model in China. A Shooting Kit is available for 3,999 YUAN (around $592) CNY (around $592). We touched on DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Launches in in our earlier Dji coverage.

The Osmo 360 II launches in China with these specific hardware configurations and price points. Buyers can choose between the standard unit or the kit based on their accessory needs.
