Minisforum updated its M1-1295 mini PC with the M1-1390, swapping in a newer processor to boost performance for users who need more computing power in a small footprint. This refresh matters because it offers a tangible speed increase over the previous model without requiring a complete system replacement. Buyers looking for a compact desktop upgrade can now access higher single-core and multi-core speeds at a competitive price point.

Intel Core i9-13900HX processor boosts performance in compact chassis

The M1-1390 runs on an Core i9-13900HX processor, which serves as the core of this compact desktop system. Minisforum positions this unit as a direct successor to the M1-1295, which previously used the i9-12950HX chip. The company claims the new CPU delivers 7 to 13 percent better single-core performance and roughly 20 percent better multi-core performance compared to the older model.
