A developer has now bypassed that limitation by forcing an 4060 to function on the platform. This breakthrough matters because it proves that the software barrier between Arm processors and desktop GPUs is permeable, even if the solution is not yet practical for everyday use.

Developer modifies RTX Spark drivers to enable discrete graphics on Arm workstations

The experiment centers on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 desktop GPU running inside a Huawei Qingyun W510 workstation. The system relies on 32GB of DDR4 RAM to support the workload. The device operates on Windows 11 Arm, an environment that typically rejects high-end discrete graphics cards due to driver incompatibility.
