Ubisoft released Rainbow Six Siege update 3.43/1.000.148, bringing a long-requested feature to console players. Keyboard and mouse support finally arrives on consoles, changing how players interact with the game. This update also reshapes competitive balance through operator adjustments and arcade map rotations.

Patch 3.43 brings console keyboard mouse input and arcade map changes

The patch introduces keyboard and mouse input for console versions of the game. Players using these peripherals will join the PC crossplay pool for matchmaking. The developers note that this setup allows console teams to use text chat, improving communication. Other console input methods remain separate from the PC pool.

Arcade 1v1 Bomb mode returns with a refreshed map selection. The update adds Coastline, Consulate, and Outback to the pool. It removes House from the available maps. Operator balancing changes affect Dokkaebi, Wamai, Jager, and Zofia. Dokkaebi's JEGEO payload cooldown increases to 14 seconds per target. Wamai's Mag-NET now charges every 20 seconds with a maximum of 7 charges. Jager's base stats shift to speed 3 and health 1.

Recoil refinements apply to the 416-C and other operators. We looked at the last Rainbow Six Siege update earlier while tracking balance changes. This patch continues that trend of stability and competitive fairness. The changes take effect immediately for all players on the affected platforms.

The update is now live for Rainbow Six Siege. Console players can enable keyboard and mouse support in the settings. PC players will see opponents using these peripherals in the crossplay pool. Operator stats and arcade maps reflect the new configurations.
