Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 17 Max, a new flagship smartphone. The device is expected to debut in China on May 21, 2026.

Massive battery and Leica camera

The Xiaomi 17 Max features a 6.9-inch Super Pixel display with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone packs an 8000mAh battery using silicon-carbon technology, supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging with PPS compatibility.

For photography, the Xiaomi 17 Max is the first Xiaomi phone to include a 200MP Leica primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. It also has a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Additional features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and symmetrical dual speakers.

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 17 Max are open in China ahead of the official launch on May 21. It remains unclear whether the device will be available in global markets.
