Kuro Games is launching the version 3.6 update for Wuthering Waves on August 20. This release advances the main story while adding significant gameplay improvements across all platforms. Players can expect new characters and weapons that change how they approach combat challenges. The update also brings technical upgrades that should improve performance for PC users.
New characters and PC graphics upgrade arrive with the global patch
The update introduces two new Resonators named Qingxiao and Jingran. Players can acquire these characters alongside new weapons called Glint of Clouds and Thousandfold Deliverance. Each new character comes with a specific outfit accessory, Cloudbloom for Qingxiao and Snowpaw for Jingran. These additions expand the roster available for team building and story progression.
Combat content sees major expansion with the Echo Calamity Effigy and new Phantom Echo variants. Players will face the Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis in both Phantom Echo and Tactical Hologram modes. On PC, the game upgrades to NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation to boost visual performance. Kuro Games states this technology delivers higher frame rates while reducing visual artifacts and ghosting.
Underlying development improvements enhance performance across all supported platforms by switching the programming language used for development. Quality-of-life features include refined Echo management and an expanded mailbox capacity for 200 messages. Multiple limited-time events are added, including Resonance Sim Realm and Gifts of Drifting Mist.
