Warhammer 40k Darktide will introduce a new playable class, the Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii Alpha Primus. Players can join this roster on Tuesday, June 23. The update arrives as an optional downloadable content package priced at $11.99.

New playable class features non-linear skill tree and arc weapons

The Skitarii Alpha Primus features a non-linear skill tree and wields specialized arc weapons including Galvanic Rifles, Phosphor Blasters, and Transonic Blades. Players can customize their character with various material types, augment patterns, Forge World selections, and voice modulation sets. A Servo Skull companion accompanies the class and provides offensive, defensive, or healing capabilities.

The new content takes place in Atoma Prime's badlands, an expedition area that introduces electrifying environmental hazards. Players will face two new enemy factions: the Traitor Vanguard and the Cultist Vanguard.
