Valve has updated the Steam store tags, adding 17 new tags and removing 28 existing ones. The changes aim to refine how games are categorized on the platform.
New tags cover diverse genres
New tags include Bullet Heaven, Desktop Companion, Organizing, Cleaning, Decorating, Wuxia, Xianxia, Falling Blocks, Espionage, Samurai, Zoo, Wolves, Capybaras, Animals, Cult, Poker, and Language Learning. Removed tags include NSFW, Mature, Dungeons & Dragons, America, Warhammer 40K, and others.
Valve also renamed several tags: Clicker became Incremental, Conversation became Dialogue Heavy, and Pool became Billiards. The tags Jet and Unforgiving were merged into Flight and Difficult, respectively. Additionally, multiple tags were made plural, including Dogs, Foxes, Vampires, Elves, Dwarves, and Assassins.
The tag updates reflect Valve's ongoing effort to keep the Steam store organized and relevant. The changes were noted on the Steam Store.
