MatheoVignaud has just released an unofficial native PC port for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, allowing players to experience the classic Game Boy Advance title on modern computers. This release was reported by DSOGaming and confirmed by John Papadopoulos as a new addition to the gaming community.

The game retains the top-down camera style used in A Link to the Past while introducing several new mechanics not present in the original 2004 release. Players can now transform into Minish size using portals throughout the world, creating multiple copies of Link in certain areas, and utilizing items like Mole Mitts for digging.

The PC port is compatible with US, EU, and JP ROM files, meaning users are not limited to one specific version of the game. This global availability ensures that fans across different regions can access the unofficial port without restriction.

As with most unofficial PC ports seen in recent years, won't be able to shut it down because the project does not contain any assets from the original game. Consequently, Nintendo cannot send MatheoVignaud or GitHub a DMCA notice for copyright infringement.
