ACCESSORIES

Ugreen has launched the LP1012, a magnetic cooling accessory designed to keep smartphones from overheating during intensive use. The device integrates a thermoelectric cooling plate to actively lower surface temperatures on compatible phones. The device is designed for gamers and users who subject their phones to high thermal loads.

The LP1012 attaches directly to the back of a phone using magnetic alignment. It works with iPhone 12 and later models through native MagSafe compatibility. Android users can attach the cooler using an included adhesive magnetic ring or a clamp mechanism.

Specifications

  • Cooling Technology: 36x36mm thermoelectric (TEC) cooling plate
  • Fan Speeds: 2,500 RPM (low), 4,000 RPM (standard), 6,500 RPM (high)
  • Power Requirement: 30W via USB-C
  • Weight: 96 grams
  • Noise Level: Approx. 20dB (at lowest setting)

Inside the unit sits a 36 by 36mm thermoelectric cooling plate that drives the cooling process. A seven-blade fan operates at three distinct speeds to manage heat dissipation. The lowest setting runs at 2,500 RPM while the highest pushes the fan to 6,500 RPM.

The cooler requires a power adapter capable of delivering at least 30W through a USB-C connection. Ugreen claims the system can drop surface temperatures to -25 degrees Celsius in controlled lab conditions. Real-world performance will vary based on ambient temperature and the specific workload on the phone.

Users can monitor the temperature via a small digital display located at the center of the fan. The unit also features an RGB light ring with 12 LEDs for visual feedback. The entire device weighs 96 grams and produces approximately 20dB of noise at its lowest setting.

The LP1012 is currently available in China through JD.com for 199 yuan. This price translates to approximately $29.40 USD. The accessory is currently available only in China.
