Twelve South has released the PowerClip, a compact portable power bank designed for everyday carry. The device targets users who need a quick battery boost for smartphones and headphones while on the go. It positions itself as an emergency backup rather than a high-capacity charging solution for laptops or full phone charges.

Compact design features integrated loop and removable zinc-alloy carabiner for easy attachment

The PowerClip features a 2,000 mAh battery capacity and supports a 5-watt charging rate. It includes dual built-in USB-C cables that allow simultaneous charging of two devices. One of these cables also serves as the input for recharging the power bank itself. The unit supports passthrough charging, enabling users to power an external device while the PowerClip recharges. Recharging the internal battery takes just under two hours.

The device includes an integrated loop and a removable zinc-alloy carabiner for attachment to bags or keychains. A set of LEDs indicates the remaining battery level during use. Twelve South offers the PowerClip in Mint, Fuchsia, Teal, Dune, and Slate color options.

The PowerClip is priced at 39.99 $ (about $39.99) in the US and 39.95 € (about $46.90) in the EU. It is currently available for purchase directly from the official Twelve South online store. The company expects the product to become available through Amazon at a later date.

Twelve South has not confirmed specific launch windows for the Amazon release. The vendor has not provided details on potential future color variants or hardware revisions.
