Dovetail Games is releasing Train Sim World 7 on September 15, bringing updated simulation mechanics and new regional routes to players. This release matters because it introduces a new graphics tier and expands the game's platform availability to include PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles alongside PC. The title launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Dovetail Games designed the update to support both casual exploration and career-focused gameplay. The studio stated that players can find their way across a range of iconic routes and locomotives.

PC players will see significant technical upgrades with the addition of DirectX 12 support. The game now features DLSS 4.5 for upscaling and DLAA, as well as FSR 4 for frame generation. An all-new Epic settings level extends draw distances and improves shadow quality for modern hardware.
The update adds three new routes: the Florida Tri-Rail, the Airedale and Wharfedale Network, and the Bahnstrecke Nurnberg to Wurzburg line. New gameplay features include Freight Hauler, Live Weather, and Conductor Mode. Enhanced Safety Systems are now active by default to increase realism.
