Ubisoft released The Division 2 Update 2.32 on August 11, bringing significant changes to loot distribution and new combat challenges. Players seeking higher-tier gear in the Dark Zone will now find Heroic quality items across all zones, which should reduce the grind for endgame builds. This update also introduces the Broken Rain Incursion, a new PvE activity set in rural Pennsylvania that offers fresh tactical scenarios.

New PvE activity and improved Dark Zone drops arrive today
The Broken Rain Incursion serves as the centerpiece of the TU Y8S2.3 patch, demanding coordinated team play against new enemy types. Massive Entertainment designed this activity to test player strategies in a contained, high-difficulty environment. The update also adds a new Shooting Range simulation, allowing players to test their builds under PvP normalization rules before entering competitive matches.
Loot quality improvements apply to the Toxic, Classic, and Balanced Dark Zones, ensuring that Heroic items drop consistently in these areas. The Broken Rain Incursion introduces two new Exotic weapons, the Steel & Sons ACR rifle and the Underboss SMG. Each weapon offers distinct statistical properties and gameplay effects that set them apart from other Exotics currently available.
PvP balance changes adjust Gear and Brand Set bonuses, as well as Prototype Augments, to refine competitive gameplay. These adjustments aim to create a more balanced experience for players engaging in player-versus-player combat. The update ships globally on August 11, making all new content and balance changes immediately available to the player base.
