has released a new update for the Beta Client, bringing several improvements to language support and controller functionality. This patch addresses long-standing issues while enhancing how users interact with the device.

Valve releases a new patch with language support improvements and controller functionality enhancements.

The latest update adds Malay language support to the Deck client, expanding accessibility for non-English speakers. Additionally, GameCube rumble support is now available in PC mode when using an adapter.

  • Language Support: Malay language added
  • Controller Rumble: GameCube rumble support in PC mode
  • Action Set Fix: Fixed selected action set resetting during configurator edits
  • Virtual Menu Bug: Fixed virtual menus binding issue when accessed via link
  • Runtime Container: Steam Deck client now runs inside Steam Runtime container

Several bugs have been fixed in this release, including a reset issue where action sets would clear during configurator edits. The virtual menu binding problem has also been resolved when accessed via specific links on the source page.

A major technical change moves the Steam Deck client into the Steam Runtime container for more consistent performance across different game environments. This architecture shift improves stability and ensures a smoother experience regardless of the underlying system configuration.

The update brings the SteamRT3 beta client to 64-bit support, addressing limitations that previously restricted compatibility with certain applications. Users in Beta or Preview channels should ensure their update channel is set correctly to receive this change.
