Sega has produced a life-size figure of Sonic the Hedgehog to mark the character’s 35th anniversary. The promotional stunt incorporates synthetic DNA into the collectible design. Sega developed this unique element alongside LOM BABY, which previously worked on biotech installations like engineered dragon meat and T-Virus samples.

Sega partners with LOM BABY to embed engineered genetic sequence inside Chaos Emerald prop within the statue's torso section.

The figure displays Sonic's genetic blueprint sealed inside a replica Chaos Emerald. A viewing window lets collectors see the green glow of the synthetic sequence within the character's stomach area. The design process analyzed Sonic’s appearance, personality, abilities, and his known inability to swim to construct the DNA string.

This project targets Japanese collectors as part of an anniversary celebration. LOM BABY handled the creation of the synthetic material used in the figure. The Chaos Emerald prop sits directly inside the torso section of the statue.

The announcement focuses entirely on this special anniversary release in Japan. Sega did not list any other regions or pricing for the project.
