Samsung is preparing to roll out One UI 9.0, a major software update built on Android 17. This upgrade matters because it introduces system-level changes that affect how users interact with apps and contacts across their Galaxy devices. The update brings new interface elements and broader compatibility for existing features.

The official unveiling will take place at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. New flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, will ship with One UI 9.0 pre-installed. This ensures that the latest hardware launches with the most current software experience from day one.
