The animated series is a collaboration between Jagex and Lyrical Animation. Lyrical Animation previously worked on projects related to Bloodborne and Death Stranding. Blogger MoistCr1TiKaL, also known as Charlie White, is also collaborating on the project.
The project is currently in early development. The studio has not revealed the plot, screenwriters, or cast members yet. MoistCr1TiKaL's specific responsibilities for the series are also unknown at this time.
Jagex CEO Jon Bellamy stated that the company sees huge potential in the new format. He hopes the series will introduce the franchise to a brand new audience. The studio expects to share more details about the production in 2027.
