PUBG Studios has confirmed that it is developing a new game called PUBG: Black Budget. The project is an extraction shooter built on the foundation of PUBG: Battlegrounds. Development began before the extraction genre became popular.

According to Taeseok Jang, Head of PUBG IP Franchise Group, the team started Black Budget by asking how PUBG's core strengths could be reinterpreted in a new structure. The goal is to deliver a fresh and genuinely fun experience rather than chasing market trends.
