A mystery Mini PC called the Piston V is changing how we think about compact gaming rigs by adding a built-in screen. This prototype from an unknown maker gives buyers a glimpse of a self-contained desktop that does not need a monitor. The device arrived at the testing lab anonymously, so the manufacturer remains a secret. ETA Prime shared the hardware details and performance numbers with the public.

The unit runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APU that packs 10 Zen 5 cores and hits 5.0 GHz. It pairs that processor with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB SSD for storage. The system supports a 54 W thermal design power to keep the small chassis cool. It also features a round touch-sensitive display built directly into the front of the case.

The operating system setup is flexible because the machine dual-boots Bazzite and Windows. This allows users to switch between a SteamOS-like gaming environment and a standard PC interface. The hardware configuration targets high performance in a tiny footprint. The built-in screen adds a unique layer of convenience for local play.
Performance tests show the Piston V can handle demanding games at 1080p resolution. In Spider-Man 2, the system averaged 75+ FPS when using FSR Frame Generation. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart ran at around 45 FPS without FSR and jumped to the 70s with it. Cyberpunk 2077 reached the high 40s FPS on the Steam Deck profile and hit 80 FPS with frame generation enabled.
ETA Prime confirmed they do not know who sent the device or any details about the OEM. The product has no listed price or release date yet. This hardware is currently just a prototype with no commercial availability. We will wait for official announcements before discussing pricing or shipping timelines.
