An unofficial native PC port of Paper Mario 64 has been released. Called Paper Mario ReCut, it lets players run the classic Nintendo 64 game on a computer without an emulator. The port is available for download now.

Port uses N64 recompilation and RT64 rendering

The project uses the N64 recompilation toolchain and RT64 rendering. It requires a US ROM file of the original game to run. The port does not include any in-game assets, which makes it harder for to issue a takedown.

Paper Mario ReCut includes a graphics options menu with live-applying renderer settings. Players can toggle Live Texture Replacement via the F2 key. The port also supports one-shot texture dumping with an in-window percentage and dump count, plus a Continuous Dump mode for capturing newly created textures while the game runs.

Graphics options include live texture replacement

The port is available globally starting now. It was released by a group of modders and reported by DSOGaming. No pricing is involved since the port is free, but users must provide their own ROM.

This is not an official Nintendo product. The port is a fan-made project that brings the 2000 RPG to PC with modern features. Nintendo has not commented on the release.

The port is available for download now. It offers a way to play Paper Mario 64 on PC with enhanced graphics and texture options.
