Palworld version 1.0 adds a new crafting material called the Ancient Bone, which changes how players approach end-game resource gathering. This update matters because the item is required for high-tier crafting and is only available in one specific, heavily guarded zone. Buyers who want to complete the latest game content need to know where to find it before they waste time searching elsewhere.

Mining ribcage nodes at coordinates 652,626 guarded by level 80 drones
The new resource comes from mining specific environmental nodes rather than defeating enemies directly. Players will see what look like monster or Pal ribcages scattered on the ground in the designated area. These ribcages function as standard resource nodes that players can break open to collect the Ancient Bones.
The only place to find these ribcages is Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3, located in the Northeast portion of the map. The sanctuary sits at coordinates 652,626, which serves as the exclusive spawn point for this material. Players must travel to this specific coordinate to access the resource nodes.
The area presents a significant environmental hazard for unprepared players. Level 80 drones patrol the sanctuary and scan the ground with red spotlights. If a player falls into one of these red spotlights, the drones will shoot them down immediately.
We looked at the last Palworld update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The game now requires players to navigate dangerous, high-level zones to access new crafting materials. This design choice shifts the focus from casual gathering to targeted, high-risk expeditions.
