Blizzard Entertainment has seen the release of a new custom player-versus-environment Zombies mode for Overwatch. The update was developed by a community creator known as Kanzuki, who announced the project after completing months of scripting and testing.
The custom mode supports up to four players and utilizes existing Overwatch maps for its gameplay environment. Players can collect power-ups inspired by Call of Duty Zombies, including Jugger-Nog, Stamin-Up, and Speed Cola. The mode also features custom weapons and boss rounds to challenge the team.

Specific hero interactions define the mechanics of this update. Sombra abilities can be hacked to alter gameplay, while heroes like Roadhog and Soldier: 76 gain self-sustain mechanics to survive longer against zombie waves.
This community-driven content highlights the ongoing engagement within the Overwatch player base. It demonstrates how creators continue to extend the lifespan of established titles through modding and custom game modes.
Kanzuki shared the news on Reddit, stating that the project is ready for players to try. The developer has not confirmed any official integration of this mode into the standard game.
