A modder has created a way to play Morrowind inside Fallout 4's PipBoy. The mod, created by RPGKing117, streams the classic RPG onto the in-game wrist device.
Mod streams Morrowind into PipBoy
The mod works by running OpenMW in a hidden window and streaming it into Fallout 4. A custom F4SE plugin bridges inputs between the two games. It works on any in-game PC terminal capable of running holotapes.
The mod is available now on PC via Nexus Mods. It requires legitimate copies of Fallout 4 and Morrowind, as well as F4SE.
RPGKing117 noted that both games run concurrently, so performance may suffer on Steam Deck or older machines. A version that runs the original Fallout on the PipBoy is also in progress.
Kotaku reported on the mod. The creator has not confirmed a release window for the Fallout-on-PipBoy version.
