Lenovo has entered the E-Ink tablet market with the thinkplus A510, a device that targets readers and note-takers who prefer paper-like screens over traditional LCDs. This launch matters because it offers a dedicated Android 14 environment for digital consumption, distinguishing itself from the many basic e-readers that lack app ecosystems. The device aims to bridge the gap between simple e-ink readers and full-featured tablets by combining a high-resolution color screen with mobile connectivity.
Android 14 notebook features 4G and color E-Ink display
The core of the A510 is its 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 display, which provides a sharp 2,480 by 1,860 pixel resolution for black-and-white content. Color content renders at a lower 1,240 by 930 pixel resolution, maintaining a 300 dpi density for text and 150 dpi for images. Lenovo powered this panel with a MediaTek MT6877T octa-core processor that runs at speeds up to 2.6 GHz to handle the Android 14 interface.

Memory and storage configurations include 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM paired with 256 GB of built-in storage. Users can expand their capacity by adding a TF card to reach up to 2 TB of total space. The system supports 4G connectivity via a SIM card, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging.
Lenovo equipped the notebook with eight microphones to facilitate voice pickup and AI noise cancellation for clearer calls. The camera setup features a 5 MP front lens for video chats and a 20 MP rear camera with autofocus for document scanning or photography. The 6,900 mAh battery supports 15 W charging and offers up to 14 hours of reading time or 168 hours of standby time on a full charge.
The device is available now in China at an introductory price of 4,999 YUAN (around $740) CNY (around $740) for the base model. A higher configuration with 12 GB of RAM is listed at 5,499 YUAN (around $814) CNY (around $814). Lenovo has not confirmed any international launch plans, so the device remains limited to the Chinese market for now.
