Lenovo has started selling the ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL, a new 16-inch laptop powered by Intel Panther Lake processors. The laptop is available in the UK, Eurozone, and Australia.
Panther Lake processors debut in ThinkBook 16
Buyers can choose between the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 or Core Ultra 7 355. The laptop supports up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, which is user-upgradeable, and has two M.2 slots for storage. Display options include a 60 Hz panel with 45% NTSC color gamut or a 120 Hz panel with 100% sRGB, both 1200p 16:10 IPS at 400 nits. Battery choices are 48 Wh or 71 Wh. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7, and an optional fingerprint reader is available. The default webcam is 5 MP, with an optional 1080p IR camera for Windows Hello.

Pricing starts at 1099.99 GBP (about $1,465) in the UK. In the Eurozone, the same configuration ranges from €1,288 to €1,458. In Australia, the price is 1690 AUD (about $1,206). The laptop is available now in these regions.
According to benchmarks, the Core Ultra 5 325 and Core Ultra 7 355 perform worse than the Core 7 240H found in older ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 models. The new laptop otherwise offers similar features to its predecessors.
Lenovo has not announced availability or pricing for North America.
