Budget mechanical keyboard features tri-mode connectivity and hot-swap support

The GK101 features a 99-key layout that balances full functionality with a compact footprint. Lenovo equipped the device with a gasket-mounted structure to improve typing acoustics and feel. The keyboard uses custom mechanical switches that are self-lubricating for smoother actuation.

Specifications

  • Layout: 99-key
  • Keycaps: Double-shot PBT plastic, side-printed legends, translucent
  • Switches: Custom mechanical, self-lubricating, 50±10gf actuation, 4.0±0.5mm travel
  • Hot-swap: Yes, fully hot-swappable PCB
  • Polling Rate: 1000Hz

Connectivity is handled through three distinct modes: wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. The printed circuit board is fully hot-swappable, allowing users to change switches without soldering. An 8,000mAh battery powers the unit, supporting a 1000Hz polling rate for responsive input.

Lighting includes standard preset effects and wraparound RGB strips along the sides of the case. Lenovo claims the large battery lasts 15 to 20 days in power-saving mode with backlighting off. When using RGB at maximum brightness, the battery provides approximately 14 hours of continuous use. The keyboard weighs 1,013 grams and measures 387.62 by 138.92 by 43.39 mm.

The Lecoo Bellator GK101 is priced at 299 yuan CNY, which converts to about $44.17. This pricing positions the device firmly in the entry-level category for mechanical peripherals. Availability is currently limited to the Chinese market.
