Riot Games is expanding the roster for League Classic with five new champions, a change that directly alters team composition strategies and lane matchups for players. This update gives users fresh options for drafting and counter-picking, shifting the meta without requiring a complete relearn of core mechanics. Buyers of the game get immediate access to these new champions once the patch lands, allowing them to experiment with different playstyles right away.
Five new champions join the roster with full ability kits
The five champions joining the game are Aatrox, Caitlyn, Irelia, Karma, and Quinn. Each champion arrives with their full kit of abilities and passive effects, ensuring they function exactly as designed in the public environment. The new roster includes a variety of melee fighters, ranged attackers, and support-oriented characters.

The confirmation of these additions comes from the League of Legends Public Beta Environment, or PBE. The Public Beta Environment functions as a testing phase where Riot Games checks game balance and stability before releasing updates to the main game. Participants in the testing phase can currently play with these characters to offer feedback and spot potential problems.
We looked at the last League Classic update earlier while tracking balance changes, and several of the same stability themes came up in this cycle. Adding these characters indicates a design focus on varied combat distances and group battle strategies. Riot Games is using the testing environment to polish these new characters before they become available to all players.
