JSAUX has released a firmware update for its HB0602 and HB0603 docking stations. The company announced the update on May 18, 2026. This software patch addresses specific compatibility issues with LG monitors and televisions. The update aims to resolve display and connectivity problems that some users may encounter with these devices.
Software patch fixes LG monitor compatibility issues on docks
The firmware update targets the CH7217A chip used in the docking stations. Users can download the firmware file named Firmware_1.zip. The update process requires the UpdateTool2.1.9 utility. Users must extract the tool and select the CH7217A-IMG.C002.IMG file to run the update. The tool displays a Brun eeprom PASS message upon successful completion. Users can also use the CH7217A-IMG.C001.IMG file to restore the firmware if needed.
Newer units of the HB0602 and HB0603 docks ship with this firmware update already installed. JSAUX recommends that users contact their support email at [email protected] if they experience any display or connectivity issues. The company has not confirmed whether the update can be performed on Linux systems via Wine or Proton. This remains an untested assumption by the author of the update instructions.
The HB0602 dock is designed specifically for the Steam Deck. The HB0603 serves as an upgraded docking station for the same handheld console. These docks provide additional ports and connectivity options for users of the device. The firmware update ensures better compatibility with a wider range of external displays.
