Hamster Corporation Brings Namco’s Ace Driver to Modern Consoles

Hamster Corporation is releasing the first home version of Namco’s 1994 arcade racer Ace Driver. Hamster Corporation releases Ace Driver on May 28 through its Arcade Archives platform on Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The release brings the System 22 arcade hardware to modern consoles. It follows Ridge Racer as the seventh System 22 game in the series. A separate development team created Ace Driver compared to the earlier title.

Arcade Archives 2 versions add Time Attack Mode and Network Mode. The update includes multiple save slots, rewind functionality, and VRR support for compatible displays.

The game uses the same System 22 arcade hardware as Ridge Racer. It was developed by a separate team from the earlier release. This release follows Ridge Racer as the seventh System 22 title in Hamster's ongoing series of classic arcade re-releases.

The Arcade Archives 2 versions for Switch and PlayStation 5 will include Time Attack Mode, Network Mode, multiple save slots, rewind functionality, and VRR support. The Arcade Archives 2 versions offer enhanced features over the standard release.
