The game joins the Nintendo 64 catalog already available through the subscription tier. Donkey Kong 64 originally launched for the N64 console in November 1999, developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now access the title as part of the existing N64 collection. The addition brings the total number of available N64 games in Western regions to 43 and globally to 45. The service provides an emulated version tailored for contemporary controllers, featuring save state functionality and online play capabilities where supported.
This release marks the first new Nintendo 64 title added to Switch Online this year.
