Octopus Panic developed Gravhounds to provide a cooperative experience that balances chaotic gameplay with teamwork. The studio introduces a physics-driven action builder where players must work together to survive hostile environments. The game is designed for one to four players to engage in cooperative action building and base defense. The game enters Early Access on November 2, giving players a chance to test this chaotic dynamic early.

Blue-collar dogs build bases and extract loot in chaotic physics-driven mayhem
Gravhounds casts players as a pack of blue-collar dogs stranded on the far side of the galaxy. Despite their dire situation, the crew must still show up for work and build a base under pressure. The core loop involves dropping onto hostile planets, constructing defenses, and extracting with loot before becoming alien chow. This premise sets up a tense, physics-based experience that relies on player coordination.
The title supports one to four players in a cooperative setting across Xbox Series and PC platforms. You can access the game via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass. The developers describe the gameplay as physics-driven mayhem, emphasizing physical interactions over scripted events. This technical focus allows for unpredictable moments that can either save the team or lead to disaster.
Octopus Panic co-founder Josh Holmes explained that the studio wanted to capture moments where things go off the rails. The team believes the best co-op experiences happen when players pull off success despite unexpected failures. Gravhounds is being developed by a seven-person self-funded team. The game will launch in Early Access on November 2 for Xbox Series and PC.
