GOG has added the original versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light to its digital storefront. This release coincides with the 13th anniversary of Metro Last Light. The partnership between GOG and developer 4A Games brings the first two games in the series to the platform.

The updated versions include a fresh coat of performance polish. They now support Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Players can use modern controllers with the games. The updates also add VSync support and enable compatibility with larger resolution screens.

This move contrasts with the current state of the games on other platforms. currently only stocks the Redux versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light. The GOG releases offer the original versions with specific compatibility fixes rather than the remastered Redux editions.
