QUByte Interactive is bringing a slice of arcade history to modern consoles and PCs on October 22. This release matters because it preserves five classic Gaelco sports titles that many gamers have never experienced on current hardware. The collection bridges the gap between retro arcade cabinets and today's digital storefronts.
Five classic Gaelco arcade sports titles arrive on modern consoles and PC with emulation enhancements
The package features World Rally Championship, World Rally 2, Snowboard Championship, Squash, and Touch and Go. Players can access these games on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The PC versions are available through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
QUByte has applied several technical updates to the original code to improve the modern experience. The team added Save States to allow players to pause and resume gameplay at any point. They also optimized the rendering to provide smoother scrolling during fast-paced action sequences.
A new museum gallery serves as a digital archive for the collection's history. This section includes scans of original instruction manuals and concept art from the arcade era. These features give context to the games while keeping the core gameplay intact for new audiences.
