FunnyPlaying is developing a new handheld called the Retro Pixel MiniGB, bringing retro gaming closer to the palm of your hand. This device targets fans of classic Game Boy titles who want a portable, authentic experience without the bulk of original hardware. Buyers looking for a dedicated retro console will find this scaled-down form factor appealing for its portability.
Scaled DMG form factor supports original Game Boy and Color cartridges
The device is a scaled-down version of the original Game Boy DMG form factor, reminiscent of a small Game Boy DMG. It is capable of playing the same cartridges as well, supporting both Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. This direct cartridge compatibility ensures that original physical media works without modification or adapters.
Specifications
- Screen Size: 2.6 inches
- Cartridge Compatibility: Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges
- Technology: FPGA (inferred from previous FPGBC model)

The device features a 2.6-inch screen and likely uses FPGA technology, similar to the company's previous FPGBC model.
