Epic Games has added a new Star Wars Droid Tycoon mode to Fortnite. Players can collect and upgrade droids behind the Cantina.

Upgrade costs vary by droid rarity

Upgrading a droid requires interacting with a Droid behind the Cantina using Upgrade Chips. Costs vary by rarity. Common upgrades cost 5 Gold, 10 Diamond, and 15 Rainbow chips. Rare upgrades cost 30 Gold, 50 Diamond, and 75 Rainbow chips. Epic upgrades cost 120 Gold, 180 Diamond, and 240 Rainbow chips. Legendary upgrades cost 400 Gold, 1,200 Diamond, and 4,000 Rainbow chips. A free daily upgrade chance is available from a Pit Droid in the Cantina.

Mythic upgrade costs have not been confirmed. Epic Games has not announced pricing or availability for any related purchases.

The mode adds a new way to engage with Star Wars content in Fortnite. Players can focus on collecting and upgrading droids as part of the experience.
