Microsoft is bringing in some new RPGs and indie titles to the Xbox Game Pass this month. It's important to note this change because it means Microsoft is bringing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade to the service, giving subscribers a big narrative game without having to pay for it. As with all these roster changes, there are plenty of smaller games coming in too. And, one big update to an existing live service game.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade arrives on Xbox Game Pass alongside new indie titles and live service updates
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the big headliner for late October additions. Microsoft's description for it is that the game is a retelling of the original story through escape from Midgar using breathtaking graphics and fast-paced gameplay. It includes a unique hybrid battle system mixing real-time and strategic command combat. It's on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass.
Other new titles include The Seance of Blake Manor on October 27, and Sandustry (Game Preview) on Game Pass Premium on October 21. Sandustry being a Game Preview game means it's still being worked on. Dodo Duckie will also be on the service starting October 22, and Scramble Knights Online will be coming October 26. There's a lot of variety here with the kinds of games that are being added.
Season 2 Update: Echoes of Skyrim will be coming to The Elder Scrolls Online on October 21. This isn't a new game coming in, it's new content to the existing live service game. As with any change to the service, there are also titles that are dropping at the end of the month to make way for the new content.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Deep Rock Galactic, etc. are all dropping on October 31. Football Manager 26 is dropping November 10.
It's the same rhythm that we've seen with monthly updates to the service. Microsoft is bringing in big titles and doing some clean up on the service. We went over the last Xbox Game Pass update and had many of the same thoughts about balancing and keeping things stable. It's the typical content rotation that keeps things fresh for subscribers.
