Bungie released a major update for Destiny 2 on June 23 that addresses several technical issues affecting gameplay stability. The patch targets specific crashes and exploits that disrupt player progression in high-level activities. This update matters to players who encounter soft-locks or unfair advantages in competitive modes. The changes aim to restore balance and reliability to the game's core systems.

Bungie addresses critical soft-locks and raid exploits in latest patch

The update applies to all platforms under version 9.7.0.2 for PC and version 3.99/1.194 for consoles. Bungie deployed these fixes to resolve critical bugs identified in recent raids and strikes. Players on all systems receive the same core fixes to ensure consistent gameplay. The patch does not introduce new content but focuses on refining existing mechanics.

Key fixes include resolving Operation: Seraph’s Shield crashes for users running uncapped framerates. The update also corrects the Ketchcrash soft-lock that occurred when enemies spawned behind doors. Bungie addressed Pantheon raid issues by removing the Consecrated Mind buff exploit and fixing the Argos skip. These changes prevent players from bypassing intended raid mechanics.

The patch adjusts the King’s Fall 2-piece set bonus ammo progress by reducing it by 70 to 75 percent. Bungie fixed Ergo Sum vortex heavy attack ammo costs and Truth rocket launcher reserve limits. The update resolves Hunter Lethal Current Aspect multi-activation issues in Player versus Player modes. Salvation’s Edge vendor item grants and animation glitches also receive corrections. Armor 2.0 masterwork drops in the Pit of Heresy now function correctly.
