If you've been eagerly anticipating Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.5, now's your chance to see what's in store. Details have surfaced about new missions and console updates that will alter our gameplay experience. YouTuber WesNemo has given us a sneak peek ahead of the official patch release. This glimpse lets us know what to look forward to in the upcoming patch.
Leaked patch notes confirm mod.io integration and new side missions for consoles
Cyberpunk 2077's Edgerunners 2 Update 2.5 is in the works from CD Projekt Red. We've seen a leak showing that new side missions like Clampdown and Welcome to Paradise are on the way. The Clampdown side mission is a prequel to the anime series, Edgerunners 2. There's more content and story elements for series fans to enjoy with these new missions.
The Double Trouble perk allows for dual-wielding, which will enhance combat. Soon, PlayStation 5 and Xbox users will enjoy mod.io integration on the console. A field of view slider will be introduced, following the example set by the PC. New cosmetics for cyberware like Mantis Blades will be part of the update as well.
There's no news yet on support for the Nintendo Switch 2. We've learned that mod.io integration will be available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. These are the expectations we'll see, as revealed by WesNemo in a video now set to private. In a previous article, we saw similar promises about console performance for The Witcher 3.
With the Edgeruners 2 Update 2.5, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive new missions and console features. The mod.io integration and field of view slider are introduced to expand our console gameplay options. Expect to see these when the patch officially releases.
