Pearl Abyss released a software update for Crimson Desert that expands how players manage companion creatures. The patch targets version 1.11.00 of the game and introduces new restrictions on pet registration. This change alters existing gameplay loops by forcing players to prioritize which companions they keep active at camp.

Patch introduces companion registration caps and retroactive rewards for players

This patch is available for every platform hosting the game at version 1.11.00. Players can now register up to one hundred pets in their stable. The system limits the number of creatures players can summon simultaneously to fifty units during gameplay sessions.

Pearl Abyss added retroactive rewards for existing pet challenges. Players who completed earlier objectives receive new items automatically without replaying those tasks. The patch also assigns a dedicated map icon to baby wyverns, making them easier to locate on the world map.

The update introduces equipment changes for specific character classes. Damiane and Oongka characters can now equip the Mining Drill and Chainsaw tools. Iron Eagle and Phoenix mounts gain access to the Sigil of Valor item, expanding their combat utility.

The release builds upon earlier updates that introduced new features to the companion system. The developer has made incremental changes to companion mechanics in successive releases. This update prioritizes adjusting companion registration caps instead of introducing additional species.
