Pearl Abyss announced that the next major update for Crimson Desert will arrive within the next few days. The studio confirmed the release window on May 8, 2026, though it did not provide a specific calendar date for the launch.
Patch resolves Sotdae of Bond disappearance and quest progression bugs
The upcoming patch introduces new special mounts to the game. It also adds an extraction feature that allows players to recover materials used in equipment refinement. These additions aim to enhance the gameplay loop and resource management systems.
The update addresses several known issues affecting gameplay and performance. Developers plan to fix a bug where the Sotdae of Bond disappears under certain circumstances. The patch will also resolve Greymane faction quest progression issues for Damiane and Oongka characters. Additionally, the update corrects a health recovery bug for Blackstar during the Deferred Advance quest.
Performance stability improvements target specific graphics hardware configurations. The patch resolves incorrect FPS displays when using Nvidia DLSS or Intel XeSS Frame Generation. It also fixes frame drops on NVIDIA driver version 596.36 and crashes on Intel Arc A770 GPUs when using XeSS. Screen display issues on Intel Arc A-series and NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPUs with upscaling enabled will also be corrected.
Pearl Abyss has not confirmed the exact release date of the update. The studio also did not disclose the full list of bug fixes included in this patch. Players can expect the changes to roll out globally in the immediate future.
