Infinity Ward reveals staggered content rollout for PC and consoles

Infinity Ward is leading the release on PC and current-gen console platforms. There will be different modes in the game that will get unlocked gradually before the final release date. For example, gamers will get the regular campaign experience along with various special multiplayer modes such as DMZ, Possession, etc.

Let's see what we have got in the content release calendar. First, they will be making the DMZ mode updated with accessibility on October 20, 2026. Then there will be the pre-season. It will start on October 27, 2026. Shipment map is going to be back in the mode during this time. On the other hand, there will be the release of Possession mode on October 29. Then we will also be able to see the comeback of Infection Mode just before Halloween. Every mode has a unique gameplay element to bring to the community.

The first post-launch support is going to start on November 6, 2026. On this day, we will have the first support season starting for the title. Here, the idea is to maintain a regular flow of updates rather than push everything on the launch day. By the way, here is our latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 update. The focus was more on balance and stability factors.

So, the confirmed release date is October 23, 2026. This is the final global release. In addition, there is the pre-order advantage for starting the campaign mode early this week. Some modes release dates are mentioned such as October 20, 27 & 29. Finally, we have the first support season starting on November 6, 2026.
