Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is not being developed for the PlayStation 4 console. The official Call of Duty account posted on social media to address rumors about the game's development targets and platform support.

The franchise is finally leaving the PS4 generation behind as Activision moves forward with the next entry in the series. While the exact title remains unconfirmed, the company has stated that the project will not include support for older hardware platforms.

Call of Duty will no longer release day and date on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate according to the latest information provided by the publisher. This change marks a shift in how the game is distributed across different gaming services and subscription tiers.
